How to Make Kookoo Sib Zamini?
- 5 medium potatoes
- 3 eggs
- 1 medium onion (optional)
- 1 tablespoon dry dill (optional)
- salt and black pepper as needed
- Turmeric and enough oil as needed
To prepare Kookoo sib zamini, wash the potatoes, put them in a suitable pot with some water and put on medium heat until the potatoes are cooked.
Note: Potatoes take about 20 minutes to cook.
After the potatoes are cooked, wait for them to cool down (or pour cold water onto them). After a few minutes, when the potatoes are cool, peel them.
Grate the potatoes and pour them into a large bowl. Next, grate the onion and squeeze the water with your hand. Add the grated onion to the bowl containing the potatoes. Now, break the eggs separately in a small bowl and mix them until they are combined.
Note: Adding onion to the Persian potato patties is optional, making them more delicious and fluffy.
Add dry dill, salt, black pepper and turmeric to the eggs. Note that adding dry dill, in addition to giving our patties a better aroma, also makes the appearance of the Kookoo Sib Zamini more beautiful.
After adding the flavoring ingredients to the eggs, mix them well until their texture is completely uniform and their color becomes a little creamy. Next, add the egg to the potatoes bowl and mix the ingredients well.
If you have enough time, it is better to put the Persian potato patties in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour to become more consistent. Of course, if you are in a hurry, you can fry them after the mixture is ready.
Now, pour some oil into a pan and let the oil get hot. When the oil is hot, take the size of a small orange from the mixture and shape it with your hands.
How to Serve KooKoo Sib Zamini?
Slowly put the patty in the hot oil until it is fried. In the same way, fry all the Persian potato patties and serve them with bread.
How to Prepare Kookoo Sib Zamini in the Oven?
To prepare potato patties in the oven, first, choose a baking mold suitable for the oven, then grease the bottom and sides with a small amount of liquid oil, then shape and put the potato mixture in the bottom of the mold and smooth it on top.
In the end, cover the baking mold with aluminum foil and make some small holes on it. Then put the baking mold in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes until it is ready.
